Puttin’ on the Disc (Brake) with TRP

Looks like Christmas came really, really early here at AG – TRP has just announced their road disc calipers with a dual pot design to help you stop when you need to.

As many of you know,  road disc brakes are what I’ve been waiting on to upgrade my road bike (2010 Lapierre Xelius) to a newer, younger, more expensive model. The TRP solution, if implemented correctly, could very well be on my next race bike. The only downside is that TRP’s solution is cabled, not hydraulic. That does mean, however, that it can be coupled with existing shift levers with no modifications.

Unhelpfully, however, no details beyond photos of the caliper have been released – no price, no availability – so your guess is just as good as mine, here.
